The livestock sector convention celebrates its third year with the topic:
changes in consumption of food from livestock
In recent years, millions more people have become consumers of food from livestock. This increase amounts to hundreds of percent in growth of this sector each year and new food-consuming markets are thus opening for growers and marketers in the Far East and other countries where the consumption of livestock is growing the fastest. Changes in global consumption habits will be the main topic of interest at the Livestock Branches Convention scheduled to take place for the third successive time, parallel to the Fresh Agro-Mashov Expo that celebrates 22 years of activity (Israel Fairs & Convention Center, February 29th – March 1st, 2012).
The Israeli branch of cattle farming is one of the world's leaders in milk production and in the high technological level of all dairy farms in Israel.
This year, as part of the Convention and Expo, presenters will include leading
producers and suppliers from across the world in the area of food and herd composition, livestock institutes, veterinary products, pest control and sanitation, food additives, cooling and heating, dairy and barn structures, breed improvement and fostering alongside with equipment and control technologies.
The participants will also present solutions for utilization and exploitation of sewage and organic waste from livestock production for bio-energy production – a new and fascinating field that attracts not only livestock growers, but other parties interested in renewable energy, and that also increases the farmer's income while decreasing gas emissions and thus helps to protect the environment.
These pivotal events in the livestock sector will take place at the annual convention of the livestock sector in Tel-Aviv, Israel. Two years ago the "41st year of the most beautiful Israeli cow contest" was celebrated, at which dozens of cows from all over Israel were evaluated by an expert committee with the purpose of finding the best and most productive cow.
Last year the convention focused on the revolutionary program of
improving the immunization system of the Israeli Holstein cows without decreasing their milk production. This was done by cross-breeding the Israeli Holstein with the Montébeliard bulls from France and NRF bulls from Norway.
This year as well the convention's organizers will invest great efforts in preparation of a unique topic relevant to changes and developments in the sector. The list of familiar international companies and brands that will be at the expo include: Zucani - Poultry Experiment, SAE Afikim, Fibro, New Mix, Volvo Tractors, Bosch, Rotem – control and management, Munters, Kaco, Tostado, Gehl, Facco, GCI, Space Ray Heating Systemsand many others.
Not only dairy farmers will be attending the international event in Israel, the meeting point of three continents: Europe, Asia and Africa. Delegations and visitors from across the world are expected in the area of chicken coops, incubation, bees, horses, pigs and even the manage
ment of animals in zoos. As usual, a place of honor is reserved for academic researchers and to the representatives of the commercial market – the buyers.
The increase in the number of consumers to be fed with food from livestock opens a window of business opportunities for the participants attending the 2012 Fresh Agro-Mashov Expo, offering the chance to promote the sector and forge enduring worldwide business ties.
The 5th International Conference For Livestock Growers & Industries will take place at the Israel Trade
Faris Center in Tel Aviv, 29 of February, 2012, 11:45-14:50.
